RAIN, THUNDERSTORM, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
We started south on our journey to Clinton, IA but 20 minutes into our daily float the thunderstorms started to roll in. They were nearing us going east to west. So, we turned around and spent another night at the Port of Dubuque. Our plans in Clinton, IA included having dinner with a college friend of Jim’s. So, Mark and Kay drove to us and we had another tasty meal. I want to give a shoutout to American Marine for their friendly above and beyond service. We thought that we had an electrical issue with the boat and they came to the marina to troubleshoot. Turns out it was not a problem with the boat but the electrical connection on the dock. Talk about relief!!!!!!!!
Glad it was not a problem with your boat. Hate to see that happen in first week. Keep the updates coming. What an adventure.
