Saturday, October 30 - Monday, November 1, 2021 (Safe Harbor Aqua Yacht Marina (Mississippi)
FINALLY the sun came out and we felt so much better. Four nights here has felt great but there is not a lot to do. However, we found people to be with. Our travel buddies, “Our Plan” and “Thistle” joined us and used the courtesy van to find a restaurant where we did have a good dinner and laughs on Saturday evening.
On Sunday we spent the afternoon and evening with Roger and Alice Tanghe who moved from Minnesota to Huntsville, AL. They drove 2 hours to see us as our journey is south instead of east where they live. It was fun to catch up and get a lesson about the south as they have been in Alabama for 8 years already. It was their first time seeing “Our Nauti Time” so we relaxed, snacked and took a little cruise. While on our little cruise, one of the engines over heated so we came back to the marina on one engine. However, our passengers did not panic and Jim had a fast solution of the problem. No worries as all is good!!!! We had a great dinner with friends then they traveled back home to hopefully see the granddaughters before their bedtime.
The engines were checked for fluids on Monday and we had a new VHF radio installed.(the VHF is used by boaters for communication between each other) Not very much to talk about for this stop but it felt good to relax!
We did sing Happy Birthday to our two grandbabies, Avianna who turned 4 on October 31 and James who turned 3 on November 1.
Leaving in the morning. Next stop somewhere south. LOL!!!!
