Wednesday - Saturday, March 30 - April 2, 2022 (Legacy Harbour Marina, Ft. Myers, FL)

Since we returned to Florida from our New York trip, it has been a nice whine down to our stay here.  We have been blessed to spend extra time with Kim and Marty.  Dinner, lunch, laughs and best of all a great friendship!!  But yesterday, the four of us toured the Edison-Ford Winter Estates, which was something I have wanted to do ever since we arrived in Ft. Myers.

It was such an educational experience to learn about the friendship and business relationship of two great men.  As we peaked into their houses, I often wondered what it would have been like to have lived in that era.  Of course, they lived in luxury!!!!

The banyan tress on the property were huge and such an interesting living tree.

The banyan tree was planted as a sapling in 1927.  Edison, Ford and Firestone created the Edison Botanic Research Corporation in the same year to find a fast growing natural source of rubber.

It was an awesome tour but it was very hot and humid, so we felt that a little ice cream was in order.  LOL!!!
