Sunday, April 3, 2022 (Legacy Larbour Marina, Ft. Myers, FL) Jim and I are experiencing many emotions today.  This will be our last night on “Our Nauti Time”!!!!  This truly has been an adventure beyond anything we expected as one of our major bucket list items has been fulfilled.    Our reflections have been about the 43 lock and dams, touching 10 states, and seeing a part of our beautiful country from the water that you would never know existed.  Meeting hundreds of fellow loopers, making new friends and living up to the many challenges along the way since early October, 2021. We have never felt that we made a mistake by taking on a bigger boat and living on that boat (approximately 900 sf) for 6 months. LOL!!!! AND WE ARE STILL MARRIED………….. We have been in negotiations with potential buyers for nearly a month now and just waiting for their funding to be disbursed.  However, Jim and I need to start our travels north as we have commitments in Mid April in...

Wednesday - Saturday, March 30 - April 2, 2022 (Legacy Harbour Marina, Ft. Myers, FL) Since we returned to Florida from our New York trip, it has been a nice whine down to our stay here.  We have been blessed to spend extra time with Kim and Marty.  Dinner, lunch, laughs and best of all a great friendship!!  But yesterday, the four of us toured the Edison-Ford Winter Estates, which was something I have wanted to do ever since we arrived in Ft. Myers.   It was such an educational experience to learn about the friendship and business relationship of two great men.  As we peaked into their houses, I often wondered what it would have been like to have lived in that era.  Of course, they lived in luxury!!!!   The banyan tress on the property were huge and such an interesting living tree. The banyan tree was planted as a sapling in 1927.  Edison, Ford and Firestone created the Edison Botanic Research Corporation in the same year to find a fast growing n...

Thursday - Tuesday, March 24-29, 2022 (Ft.Myers, Fl - Kings Park, NY) We are so excited to fly to Kings Park, NY to be with Brandie and Paul and the grands for five days.  Most importantly we are going to help celebrate our oldest granddaughter, Josie’s “Sweet 16” birthday party. It felt so good to be with this little man again. Friday was a perfect day to tour the winery’s on Long Island.  The sun was shinning and we were able to sit outside parts of the day.  I loved this picture of Brandie soaking up the sunshine. First thing Saturday morning the boys went to the barbor for hair cuts.   Off to the party!!!!!  In New York a Sweet 16 birthday party is very similar to a wedding reception including a DJ, Catered food, decorations, dancing, family and friends.  So much fun!!!!!!  We were able to reconnect with all of Paul’s family and meet Josie’s moms family.  Plus her high school friends. I love spending time with Paul’s mom, Dore….. Paul with his...

Thursday - Monday, March 17-21, 2022 ( Legacy Harbour Marina, Ft. Myers - South Seas Resort and Marina, Captiva Island) We were so excited as we waited for Brandie, Paul and James to arrive from New York and create more adventures.  After their flight delay, they arrived in Ft. Myers at midnight.  I captured this picture as we were almost back at the boat after meeting them.  The water was so peaceful without a ripple!!!   Even though it was very late, James found some last minute energy.  LOL!!! Good morning everyone!!! (Friday, March 18, 2022). On our way to South Seas Resort and Marina on Captiva Island.  The sky was a beautiful blue and the water was very calm.  What a gorgeous day to travel on the water. James loves driving the boat with Grandpa. It was a busy day on the river.  Everyone wanted to be on the water. The best time to take a little nap while rocking on the water!!! It was a fabulous float to Captiva Island.  We are settled i...
