February 20-22, 2022 -Ft. Myers, FL HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! He’s getting better but there are still questions of medications and what to do next. When I returned to the boat there was a beautiful fireworks display very close. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 After 1 full week at Gulf Coast Medical Center, it took an extra 6 hours to get his discharge papers prepared but I BUSTED HIM OUT!!!!!!!! I personally want to thank everyone who kept me grounded this past week. All of your texts and phone calls helped me keep a positive perspective so that I could be positive for Jim. The outpouring of love from so many friends and family made Jim and I so very thankful.

Monday - Friday, February 14-18, 2022 (Legacy Harbour Marina) Ft. Myers, FL Monday, February 14, 2022 We are on our way to Legacy Harbour Marina, Ft.Myers. We have been looking forward to meeting up with Barefoot Jones again. This is one of the bridges from Cape Coral to Ft.Myers. The wind was gusty with white caps on the river, but I was amazed at the picture of our wake and the churning of the water. The current was challenging getting into the slip but we did it!!! You just never know what to expect on the water. However, we decided to toast our success for getting it done. LOL!!!! The view from the dock is absolutely breathtaking…… Tuesday, February 14, 2022 Well….. this was not what we expected!!! Jim has been experiencing shortness of breath and a cough. Of course, we tested for Covid numerous times as we were with our friends in Key West and always tested negative. He finally was convinced to go to urgent care……………wher...

Friday - Saturday, February 11-12, 2022 - Key West, FL Rise and shine early Friday morning in order to drive to Ft. Myers to board the Key West Express. The high speed (doesn’t even care about crab pods) boat will get us to Key West in 4 hours. All lined up and ready to board. Plenty of room to stretch out, play cards and take a nap. Key West here we come. Leaving the dock and traveling through the river into the gulf was so calm. Lunch at Key West….. The group walked Duval Street, stopped at many bars, listened to great music and tried to spend our money at the shops. LOL!!!! Jim and I were able to break away and meet up with Dave and Karen Ellis (Karisma) from Tennessee. So good to catch up with them again. It’s always a must to visit the Southernmost Point U.S.A. It’s always sad to say good bye after having such a fantastic time but all good things must end. I must say, we are all tired and ready to relax on the 4 hour ride bac...

Saturday - Sunday, February 5-6, 2022 (Tarpon Point Marina, Cape Coral, FL) The fun and sunshine just keeps coming!!!! On Saturday we drove to downtown Ft. Myers to meet with Eugene and June Jones (Barefoot Jones) from Arkansas. We first met them at Clearwater Harbor and have continued to keep in touch. We walked the Art Fest and enjoyed checking out the unique art. It reminded me of the Uptown Art Festival at home. I was proud of myself as I only purchased a T-shirt. LOL!!!! After walking the downtown area we stopped at The Lodge for dinner. It felt like we were Up North in Minnesota. Mid February we will be moving to the same marina so we will be seeing Barefoot Jones again soon. Sunday, February 6 It’s a busy weekend. Taste of the Cape opens for one day right here at the Marina. It’s a celebration of the culinary arts and live music. It did not disappoint us. We ate lunch and listened to great live music. ...
